The Very Best Homemade Gluten-Free Bread

This year I decided to start making my own bread. I just couldn't take all the chemicals in the bread our family was consuming, including the gluten-free bread I was buying for myself. Really, most gluten-free bread is made with fillers, GMO corn and really tastes pretty poor. I found this recipe on Mama Knows Gluten Free and it is really good. We make it every few days, and it just has a few ingredients all of which I recognize!

Here are the ingredients. It is important that you add them to your bread machine in this order. I use this one and it's worth every penny. You can often find them at Goodwill if you don't want to commit to a brand new one.

1 1/2 cups warm milk (can use almond milk)

2 T butter

2 eggs, beaten

1 t apple cider vinegar

1/4 c honey (or even less)

3 cups gluten-free flour, I use King Arther Measure for Measure.

1 t kosher salt

1 3/4 t bread machine yeast

  1. combine the milk and the butter in a saucepan an heat until warm and the butter is melted. You don't want it too hot. You can also use a microwave for this step. Pour both into pan in bread machine fitted with the mixing paddle.

  2. add the honey.

  3. add the two beaten eggs

  4. add the ACV

  5. Then add the dry ingredients, the flour, the salt and finally the yeast.

  6. Start the bread machine on the gluten free setting. You can go in and scrape down the sides if needed.

Try it with some high-quality EVOO!
